My son is growing into a young man.  This picture was taken after our return from our induction into the BSA Order of the Arrow.

20 years ago...

...I went to Las Vegas for the weekend.  The trip ended in disaster nearly two years later in Norfolk, VA.  Although this weekend marks the 10th anniversary of 9/11, I am a bit introspective of the Vegas thing.  Does political correctness always have to be so demonstrative?

Other musings; little hands, meatballs and memories

I was making meatballs for dinner last night and it made me remember mom.  She would always have my little brother make the meatballs 'cause he had the perfec size hands.  Maybe not so true anymore.

This picture was taken as I was finishing the exterior pre-flight. The tower is the ramp tower; the folks that direct the planes to the gates once clear of the runways and taxiways. Below the flag is a tribute to the American Airline's employees who lost their lives on 9/11/01. I knew just one and her name was Mary Jane Booth. She was one of the admin folks @ Dulles and a great lady.
We took a 40 minute delay for a fuel quantity indicator failure and the ensuing paperwork drill.
